      Maybe he just hates cages?

    • Tammy Montgomery

Kiko, also quaker, growls when upset and purrs when happy. Hissing she does if my hand gets to close to her

I enjoyed this video so very much! You have such a sweet and bright little girl! I know by the time I am watching this she has grown up a lot, but still sweet!

My cockatiel is cageless. I never close his cage unless we are taking him somewhere. He comes and goes as he pleases but he also doesn’t fly hardly at all (I don’t know why and it makes me sad 😞) he used to fly to me all the time. He was under the care of someone else for 4 years when I went through a divorce and couldn’t care for him but when I got him back, noticed some of his flight feathers were missing and never grew back so wondering if he got hurt. Regardless, he loves his freedom to come in and out of his home as he pleases and seems really content with this setup.

Lefty is so cute and adorable. It makes me want to check out a quaker! And Capri is so cute with him. She isreally amazing with birds and she will always have that gift because of you guys! Happy New Year!

I’m so picky about what parrot YouTube i watch, the reason being is so many of them are gatekeepers. I love your approach to this. I thank you for the work your doing and just know your being very helpful!!! If you can teach folks how to better bond with their parrots hopefully less will be rehoned. I have to say this methods is the only method that will help. Most people get their heart set on a bird get one then have bad experiences from not knowing how to handle them and boom rehome. This will save some birds for sure.

I’m wondering if you can do another Caique project bird?

The bond between Capri and Leftie is so beautiful to watch. My granddaughter some years back had an amazing bond with my ringneck

Thank you for making these videos. Im a new follower. I was asked to help a very cage aggressive adult Green Cheek Conure… he's improving and I have just adopted an 8 month old Quaker who was raised socialised with other birds, to be here for my Conure, Jacob When I'm not home. Which isn't often. This story is absolutely beautiful. An 11 year old girl recommended me to watch you. She adopted 2 green cheek conures from me. I rescued and rehabilitated them and I trained them from being terrified birds to free flight forages who really took to this little girl immidiately, she is home schooled and has special needs and these two conures were shy of strangers but they adore this girl. She sends me videos of them doing new tricks and flying to her. I was living in a sharehouse where my housemate had a cat that kept trying to kill them. I kept Jacob with me cause he was clipped and is a Velcro bird I felt I could keep him safe. I have since moved to a much more suitable share house. I will never give up on Jacob and I pray he becomes close with my new quaker baby, Charlie. I wish I was as brave as you to record my birds journey. I've helped 4 conures in the last 12 months. I've also lost 2 beloved birds in accidents. An 8 year old cockateil and an 8 month old baby Australian Ring Neck that I hand raised myself. The quaker ive adopted reminds me a lot of that baby I raised and recently lost to my last housemates dog.
I don't think conures should ever be left alone. Introduction hasn't been perfect but I see hope they'll become cage/aviary/Jail Cell Mates. 💚💜💚💜💚
All we want is for these parrots to be happy and thats a really rewarding challenge. I look forward to binge watching your tips for tricks. God Bless

      Aww capri is so cute🤩

    • MB D

Capri and Lefty were made for each other. He needs his chosen person.

    • Mae Poole

Kind of ironic that a wee bird with quakers as their namesake could be aggressive

Thank You 🙏 You are such an inspiration for me. God Bless

Jamie I saw you cleaning the cages in the trailer and wanted to tell you about a product called 'Norwex'. Look it up I think you will appreciate what a wonderful job they do without any chemicals on the see thru parts but also the ease in which they disinfect the whole cage. The grates will still need to be scraped but I use my older one for the final wipe. Nice to use to refresh the water bowls too. Love your daughter's interest and involvement!! She's a keeper 🙂
