My green cheek conure ‘Snoopy’ says; Kiss kiss, and her name ‘Snoopy’ And also I’ve heard her say ‘Step up’. She is nearly 3 years old. 🦜😊
I have two budgies who speak. My favorite phrases they say are “What you doing?” and “How are you?” I’ll frequently respond, “I’m cleaning your cage. What you doing?” and “I’m good, thank you! How bout you?”
Hi Sophie, haven't been on here for ages, health not great.
Still watch and listen tho.
I have my girl cockatiel, no words but boy dies she Flock call when one of us is out.
I also have a senegal, not renowned for talking, he says lots of words, sadly he us a biter but he does do a few tricks and is hand tame, he'll only come to me, apparently they are one person parrots, cant have him out with Trudy as he'd attack her, she's out all the time but doesn't get up till late in mornings so I can have boy boy out then xxxx
Still not harness trained, sigh, they hate it xxxx
Oh boys boys fav word is com on then xxxxx makes me laugh
Cute birds…Nice video, informative
I have two budgies ( 1 male & 1 female ) and 2 scarlet chested parakeets. How can I train them or hand feed them?
I have/had GC Conures, Cockateil's, Kakariki and Budgies. Talking was never an important part for me.
But my Budgie was an absolutely amazing talker! His words were so clear. And he also mimicked other things like my sneeze😅
He could say things like his name (Happy) "Hello Happy" "pretty boy" "cheeky boy" "baby bird" "who's a cheeky boy" etc…
I often feel people don't think much of Budgies because they are some of the smallest birds. But from personal experience I can only say my Budgie was so intelligent and an amazing talker!
All the other birds I have never talked or mimmicked but I do not mind that😊
My both birds ( GCC ) don't really talk, Peach ( girl ) can say her name " peachie " cuz i call her like that in loving voice But she says peachie in different ways or pich, the sounds are different for all things like her calling me, just saying her name for me to repeat, wanting attention and it's suprising how i understand everytime 😂 My Rio ( male ) sometimes say peach or he like to make gibberish sounds whenever i am talking on phone. They both make muah sounds while kissing me or eachother.
Even if my birds will not talk i love them the way they are ❤
Fred says bye-bye, peekaboo, come on, something that sounds like mama, and he's learning good boy right now. Talking human has never been important to me so I just talk to them all day and they pick up what they want to.
I heard some people record the word they are training and loop the recording over night. Is that something good to do? I don't want to disturb his sleep.
My bird only compliments himself and catcalls women😆He whispers to himself “Who’s a good baby?” And when he wants attention he screams “Hey baaabyyyy!”
I let my cockatiel free fly around my house a lot but he would nibble on the woodwork and plants and then I would retrieve him on my finger give him a little bounce and say “what do you think you’re doing “ and put him back in his cage (wasn’t trying yo get him to talk).. after a few weeks … surprise!!…he said the whole sentence and bounced up and down… I couldn’t believe it…he was about a year old
