To bird owners out there… Does the bird's cuteness and fun compensate for this problem that seems to be an issue with all birds ?

There are a few factors in parrot training. One plan I found that succeeds in merging these is the Parrot Ploy Plan (check it out on google) it's the most helpful blueprint i've heard of.look at the unbelievable info .

I'm in proses of potty training my rescue African gray parrot been doing about 2 weeks now and when she's on her cage she stops what's she's doing goes to the perch that's got a potty tray and before she goes she either makes a fart noise or sound of her poo hitting the tray then she goes and waits for a response for me that's she's a good girl Out the cage needs abit more work as she won't make noise before pooing so I pick her up about every 10 minutes and put her on her potty perch and say go potty and she does it on command thank you for video helped a lot perhaps a video on regaling a rescue parrots trust my rescue African gray parrot was treated quite badly by men from previous owners I got my African gray to trust again my my experienced partner to just feed her at first so she saw a mans hand as good as time went on my partner usto just talk to her for short sperts then realised she loved silly noises farm animals rasberrys trains cars so my partner would stand next to the cage and do silly noises done this roteen of my partner of feeding her and talking to her I had little interaction as possible so she could learn to trust again and I'm glad to say she's gone from very aggressive to sweet men couldn't get anywhere near her when I first got her now my husband can get her to step up onto his arm and shoulder she also kisses him and got her to learn a 15 new words and noises and can't wait to come off her cage top to play as long as you obey her rules no petting or stroking only I can pet her or she pecks not bites but warns you shee don't like how can I reguse her biteing

it's a very bad idea potty training a parrot, they can get infections through holding poop in for too long

    • alex smith
