HI! MY NAME IS SANTIAGO PACHECO, I MADE THIS VIDEO TO TRY TO HELP NEW PARROT/CONURE OWNERS LEARN WAYS TO GET THERE PARROTS TO STOP BITING. IT MADE ME VERY ANGRY WHEN MY GREEN CHEEK CONURE WOULD TRY TO BITE ME. TO THE POINT I WAS THINKING OF TAKING HIM BACK TO THE PET SHOP. BUT I QUICKLY LEARNED THAT THE PROBLEM CAN BE QUICKLY FIX WITH A LITTLE TRAINING. MY BIRD LEARNED RIGHT AWAY ONES I STARTED DOING THE THINGS I TELL YOU ABOUT ON THE VIDEO. I HOPE THIS HELPS.

Yeah, good advice but my Conure will get so angsty things will escalate to full blown finger war. Even if I get her to step up, she’ll keep gnawing at my finger in pure rage.
Been doing target and clicker training and while that’s been giving her little birdy brain something to do (less screaming and better sleep at night)
I STILL need a glove to handle her, which she’ll bite super hard too. And she on purpose flew up the stairs just to bite my little brother.
I feel terrible for him and I’m almost beside myself what to do for My bird.
A year ago when we got her, she was sweet, loving and cuddly like all the articles you read. A year later and she is this ornery green beast. 💔
I've tried to rolling your hand over but my conure still bites… I've got several scars on me now and I'm a bit concerned, I've had my conure for around six months and they aren't at breeding maturity yet (not that I have any female conures anyways) anyways, he manages to bite the top of my hand relatively easy and I'm wondering on any other tips. if anyone has any questions about his diet, living area or anything feel free to ask in the replies!

This bird runs your house mate, you're just there to stay lol. My Green Cheek loves my attention and is always talking back. He just spams happy whistle tones when he sees me. But when he sees my girlfriend he starts screaming the house down with anger. It's got to the point where if my partner begins talking in the same room he begins screaming the loud BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP lmao. If my girlfriend stops talking, he stops. But as soon as she talks, he cuts her off. Shits hilarious. He must not like her lmao.

I ignore my cockatiel bites. But they can't bite nearly as hard as a conure.
When they bite hard, we're meant to put them back in their cage immediately. They quickly learn that biting hard means being locked up, lol
Yep, open hand & finger's coming toward a bird is like a large, predatory bird claw coming at them. Obviously most pet birds don't have that happen to them but apparently it's instinctual behaviour, hence biting a large, oncoming "claw".

My friend's bird was chilling alright on my hand and the moment my friend left to tend to something in the kitchen, It started to bite at one of my knuckle nonstop like a toy. It hurts like shit yo. I didn't scream or anything, just tried to pull it away w my other hand but it refused to step up and clinged on while biting away at my knuckle. Man. Broke my skin a little but no blood. Friend came back and it flew to its perch like nothing happened. Tht lil shit.
