Great video. We have been having difficulty with flight training with our 8 month old Parakeet. Is a clicker absolute necessary?

I’m trying to train my budgie to fly to my hand. I can get mine to step on to my hand and eat the millet just fine! How ever, when I pull it away to get her to jump, she doesn’t do it 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢. I’ve had her since mid December. Any suggestions

I have found that some birds like praise more than a seed or other food for their treat. My budgie loves her millet and responded very well to it. When I got my Pineapple Conure, he didn't or any other food. He isn't food motivated. He is praise and love motivated. It took me a minute to figure it out. I did the finding favorites treat thing as Dave and Jamie tell you to do and while I found his fav that still wasn't what he wanted. And, I say he because I've never had him tested but, he seems more like a male. My budgie is an obvious female. Her Cere settled right at a year and she went through her first hormonal stage it got all crusty and dark. Lol. Too bad conures aren't sexually dimorphic.

I love the vivarium set up behind the young lady. Also, the young lady reminds me of Elle and the Birds.

Oh! I remember her training with her budgie! It helped me so much on recall training with my R2-D2! Love these budgie sessions! And I use advice from big parrot training sessions as well! 🪶🥰🪶

I'm embarrassed that it took me 14 minutes to notice the snake discovery logo

This was confusing to me. Do you want to do some easy tricks in between if no longer responding or not? Or Does this reinforce the not doing it?

Sugar Sugar just had a milestone today. Soon she will have mastered many more with the help of these tips.

I need help, I just got a bird a few weeks ago and she absolutely hates me, I’m a first time bird owner and every exercise I try to earn trust doesn’t work. Is there any tips someone has and a step by step walk through on how to train one to fly to me or just how to train one

I can’t get over how tiny a budgie looks in Dave’s hand. I get so used to relative sizes, and the bigger birds, and I forget just HOW little a budgie is.
